Be careful, raw facts like that, which are not supported by liberals can get you banned from this forum.

I have to pretty much ditto everything you are saying.

As an atheist/agnostic, I do volunteer work, with animals, the homeless, and local food banks. I have since I was in high school. I do not gather in large groups of atheists because religous affiliation has nothing to do with who I associate with (nor does political.). I have studied all major religions. My mother is a Deacon in the Epicsopal Church, one of my sisters is currently studying to be a minister in a branch of the Methodist Church, one of my sisters is a Buddhist Nun living in Belize providing education to girls who end up being left out of educational opportunituies, my husband is Buddhist. I think the Nativity is pretty. I have a manger scene I set up every Christmas, we also have a Yule log and a Menhorrah (my grandmother was Jewish.) My daughter knows all the stories of the holiday season.

Peoples stereotypes about atheists are funny. But, I don't use my atheism as a pulpit for my job.

Please go back and reread what I wrote. I said that I didn't look. Please feel free to look into it yourself if you are interested. I'm personally not because I'm not into joining groups to get things done. I do things on my own.

I find that a rather curious statement because it sure seems that Obama lives as a Christian, doesn't cheat on his wife, is an excellent father and husband, etc. With Cain, it's really looking like he's guilty of crossing the line when it comes to women other than his wife. As for "Gingrich" and "great integrity" in the same sentence, I find that amusing.

Nativity scenes and other religious symbols don't belong on public property. The courts have ruled on that. As for Christmas trees, I don't know where you live, but they have Christmas trees in the schools in my district and no one is trying to get rid of them or call them something else. Some atheists don't think "under God" should be in the pledge...it wasn't there to begin with and since this is a country for everyone, religious and nonreligious, there's no point in having it in there. Do I fight against it? Nope. I find the whole thing stupid. I personally don't care about "In God we trust" on our money and I don't care about crosses on the side of the road (although I do find it kind of odd that people want to create a memorial wherever someone has died).

Exactly.

I have my Christmas tree set up and the nativity scene that was my husband's grandmother's. Shocker, hunh? LOL.

I never liked John Edwards. It didn't shock me a bit when it came out that he cheated on his wife and fathered a child with another woman.

As far as "Obama has sinned like the rest of us," I don't believe in "sin." Do I think Obama is perfect? Nope. Do I think Obama has done things that he regrets? Yep. Just like the rest of us.
