I wonder when the legacy media will take an interest in this cost of living issue?

When Bush left gas was under $2 per gallon, under Obama it has been over $4 in my area and many other areas.

No memory loss here. If anything I recall forum posts here complaining about Bush and big oil regularly. Why no complaints just about anywhere about Obama doubling the cost of gas?

I recall oil dropping sharply at the end of the Bush term, then increasing sharply after Obama took over. If anything prices are more volatile under Obama than Bush. Worse, Obama has a hostility toward oil that Bush lacked.

Obama hasn't doubled the cost of gas any more than Bush did. Anyone who thinks the president has anything to do with it is....

Gas here, the last time I WALKed past a gas station was $3.20 a gal.

One word: Iran. Two words: Arab Spring. Three words: Straits of Hormuz. It doesn't really matter, ANY instability in oil producing/refining areas seems to result in price hikes. Pull the strings, watch the puppets dance. We're dummies to let the string pulling continue. Bush himself noted that we are addicted to oil. http://articles.cnn.com/2006-01-31/politics/bush.sotu_1_energy-research-union-speech-advanced-energy-initiative?_s=PM:POLITICS

I wish Obama was even more hostile to oil but I guess we'll have to settle for him not starting a horrendously costly "pre-emptive" war to enable us to exercise our influence in a major oil producing part of the world.
