I'm very glad he's dead. I'm happy that Pres. Obama quietly & determinedly stuck to it & delivered on his campaign promise (for which he was criticized!!). I will admit I was shocked when they interupted last night to announce it.
I don't feel any 'safer' now, but I don't feel 'less safe' either. On that front, there is no change because there will always be 'terrorists' of one stripe or another - whether they be foreign-born or American-born.
I would love to see this bring some unity back to our country, but I honestly don't see it happening. For a while, maybe...but then they'll be after Obama for something else.
In this age of breathless and half-brained conspiracy theorists, there is good reason to document and have independent witness to the demise of a man who was responsible for so much havoc.
I can understand honoring Muslim tradition. In doing so, we are showing respect towards their religion. WE have to be sure to take the high ground here - even if bin Laden was an evil man who not only did great harm to us but also to many, many more Muslims whom he also had killed.

Bush deserves no kudos.
If you think that his re-election in 2004 had nothing to do with the "war on terror", guess again. After all, he bragged of himself as a "war president" http://articles.sfgate.com/2004-02-09/news/17412632_1_bush-s-strategy-white-house-iraqi-president-saddam-hussein
Bush deserves nothing more than condemnation and IMHO, damnation. Kudos? NEVER!

Cynic: a blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be.---Ambrose Bierce, The Devil's Dictionary.
If he was shot in the head a couple of times, I can't imagine that he would be recognizable.
Edited to add:
