And I, for one, have mixed emotions.

I suppose. But "best" would have been George W. Bush doing the job for which he was elected; by directing reprisals at the person and group responsible for both the 9/11 attacks and the embassy bombings; without diverting resources elsewhere. HE FAILED TO DO SO.

Thousands of U.S. troops have died because of that, and hundred thousands of Iraqis. I will not forget.

BTW, your post went up twice. Ain't the "new and improved" iVillage great?!

Bush isn't Rambo, we don't elect seals or terminators as President.

Bin Ladin was killed by Navy Seals and possibly other special forces. Our military has been evolving it's education on how to fight terrorists. Kudos to them. Kudos to Obama. Kudos to Bush.

There was a huge lack of communication between 'security' agencies also offered help by the Clinton WH was unwelcome therefore ignored.

"it prevents any memorializing of Bin Ladin's death site"

I imagine that was the idea, a good one IMO. I'm sure they have DNA samples for any party wanting proof.

From what I heard this morning, DNA was taken and he was put out to sea so quickly because of Muslim practices. And I would imagine it was also a way to keep those away who would want his body.
