"We" wonder why people aren't spending money & there's slow job growth.

Your question regards a hypothetical. From my earlier post: Given that there are plenty of pressing issues which do need serious consideration, I see no particular benefit to angst over the imaginary. Smacks of Chicken Little.

Are you saying that all businesses treat their employees fairly?

((Are you saying that all businesses treat their employees fairly?))

Not saying that at all. Again, with the putting words in ones mouth. I SAID that MANY businesses do treat their employees fairly and are well run companies.

FYI, school has been out for a couple of weeks in many parts of the country. You could easily have already moved back to Kauai. Just saying....

It's just unusual for someone who doesn't work a night or swing shift to be posting in the middle of the night. I can understand the question. Heck, it could have been 'jet lag'! LOL!

Re putting words in the mouth of another: "she felt that other businesses were unfair".

A friend's husband was promised a bonus and raise if he signed on with a company with a low wage, IF he stayed a year.

At the year mark, his boss called from his family's 3-week vacation in Europe to tell him and others that there wasn't enough money after all, and none of the promises would be kept.

Leaving to find another job isn't always the option some make it out to be. In certain parts of the country, jobs are nigh near impossible to find. (as you well know.)
