Rush Limbaugh calls college student a 'slut'

http://now.msn.com/now/0229-limbaugh-calls-woman-a-slut.aspx

Rush Limbaugh today called a women's health advocate and Georgetown Law student a "slut." The Huffington Post transcribed Limbaugh's comments on Sandra Fluke, who'd spoken to a Democratic panel on the benefits of birth control: "[Fluke] testifies she's having so much sex she can't afford her own birth control pills, and she wants President Obama to provide them, or the Pope. ... What does it say about the college co-ed Susan [sic] Fluke, who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says that she must be paid to have sex. What does that make her? It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute." Limbaugh then corrected himself: "So she's not a slut. She's round-heeled." Round-heeled, for the record, means "slut."

Me: And thid from te guy who got caught with several years worth of viagra??

I had forgotten. More at http://www.bradleyreport.net/commentary/StonedRush.htm Limbaugh is so outrageously hypocritical that only brain-dead idiots would give him a pass.

Insurance premiums have been climbing steadily for years WITHOUT ACA.

IOW, not to belabor the point but they'd been "dramatically increasing" without reforms. I'm no great fan of ACA but let's ditch the hyperbole and cherry-picking of facts.

I read his transcript. There was NO context to justify his comments and attempting to do after the fact is pure CYA.

Limbaugh is the consummate male chauvinist pig.

@dyrtymary - You don't remember the hoopla about Limbaugh & his illegal Viagra? FYI, I think even Fox reported on it.

BC is prescribed for more than contraception ... plus it would SAVE money for the insurance companies in the long run. Besides what gives a panel of MEN the right to determine what health needs a WOMAN has.

As for co-pays, ours is $5. However, there is no reason that any insurance company shouldn't provide coverage for BC just as they provide coverage for any other doctor prescribed medication!

Viagra, if coverage for it was threatened in any way, men would have seizures!

Insurance rates - the insurance industry needs some revamping. They will continue to rip off the consumer as long as they can. Health care reform is their scapegoat - with or without it, insurance rates will continue to rise.

Why would I run the numbers on what if's? Why can't women, strong, intelligent independent women.ike Fluke, take care of their own sex lives? I'm not interested in paying for their contraceptives or their inability to use BC corecctly. I only went to a state university, but was able to figure out all aspects of living a successful responsible life. Imagine a 30 year old law student from an elite university woman can't. Weird.
Was the viagra/cialis coverage mandated by the government?
I can't control what the federal goverment does, that's why I strongly object to sending more of my tax dollars to the inept in DC.

Even Fox reported on the Limbaugh viargra thing. Why are you telling me that? Are you of the belief that I have no other news sources, except Fox News?
If free BC saved insurance companies money in the long run, it would already be a freebie provided without cost by all insuraance companies. There would be no need for a federal mandates, nor state mandates. After all insurance companies ar all about making money, right?

I used Fox because your "examples" all where what conservatives usually refer to as the 'liberal media'. No other reason & no implications.

Insurance companies do as little as possible. Cover as little as possible. Even when it comes to some proven life-saving therapies, they'd rather let you die if you can't afford it. Of course, this is after you've been paying premiums for decades.

Both the insurance industry & the pharm industry need to be revamped & overseen. Just like Big Oil, they will try & rip off the consumer whenever possible.
