It's interesting how different regions handle this. I'm in Northern Cali. During the harvest season, so many people are growing, that the smell permeates the town. I joke that my in laws live down the Ganja Highway. But our sheriff harasses medicinal growers no end. Even arrested a woman in a wheelchair, that had MS, for being a few plants "over limit," when technically there is no limit. It's just an arbitrary limit our sheriff decided medicinal marijuana users could have in our county. Both our towns city counsels have put moratoriums on clubs, so sick people drive a winding, twisting road to a club the next county over. That towns mayor says they have never had a problem with the club, they have met every security and permit

Federal and state laws are increasingly at issue with pot. Eventually this will have to be resolved. It doesn't make sense to have a federal felony for something authorized by a state. I don't recall a schism like this regarding a major health issue in recent times between state and federal law.
