I have read about the French Veil ban elsewhere, it seems an issue for the French and for their government to resolve. This seems more of an international news story to me.
Most societies limit attire for members. The extent to which they do this, and how attire restrictions are enforced do not make or break any form of government imo.
According to Wikipedia, the French law doesn't ban Muslim attire specifically, but any attire that fully covers someones face or is large and ostentatious. It applies to the Jewish kippa, and large Christian crosses.
Wikipedia also says Indonesia and Turkey ban veils in their public schools.
I do not know if this law applies to private residences, or to places where people would meet privately (a wedding as an example).
The law bans face coverings. The head scarves can still be worn which makes me think that so can kippahs. I seems to more of an issue of not being able to identify people (a security issue) if their faces are covered.
That is a step for Iran war. The ruling class need excuse to start war on Iran – false flag attacks on Western countries. (Like 911 attack to justify Iraq, Afghanistan war) What causes the “terror attack”? In France, it will be “veil ban”. In US, it will be “Quran burning”. It’s not a coincidence they happened in recent days. Beware of coming “terror attack” and following war on Iran. Discuss the civil right is a waste of time. That’s a part of war plan.
I can't get your link to produce a story.

The Wikipedia article I read is at this url http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/France_debate_over_veils
Any other reason (religious bigotry as an example), then it's wrong.
