Yep. Too bad Meg didn't put her money where her mouth was, and follow her own hard line about deporting illegals, (and be

Meg Whitman may not be so innocent here...but neither is Nicky Diaz. SHE is the one who entered the country illegally, stole someone's identity to gain a social security number and gain employment at an agency who sent her to Whitman's house at the tune of $23/hr.

Kinda hard to feel too sorry for her.

However....that's not the point of the thread....the point is what is going to happen to her now? She got the $5500 in "back wages" . But that won't get her far. Where is she living and who is paying her bills? Certainly she will not get hired by anyone now. So...is she living off of the taxpayer?

Probably.

I just can't seem to grasp the liberal stance on illegal immigration. It's so contradictory. First, many liberals feel that any illegal immigrant who is law biding (other than breaking into the country illegally and identity theft) should be allowed to remain in the country. However, they (the liberals) will aggressively go after to punish/fine/sue any person or company that hires illegal immigrants.

If they want these people to stay in the country....how are these people supposed to make money? Surely the liberals don't want these illegals living off the tax payer dime, do they?

Good response, Tom. I want laws enforced as well. Thanks for posting the definition of a liberal. Nothing wrong with being liberal. :-)

>"many people questioned how Whitman could remain unaware that her housekeeper of nine years was not legally allowed to be in the United States."<

I find it puzzling too that Whitman says she didn't know of her housekeeper's status.

Diaz must have been competent at her job.

If it had been me, with Whitman's wealth, I'd have hired an immigration lawyer for my housekeeper.

So, to be clear, you are fine with Nicky Diaz to be tried for identity theft, put in jail if she is found guilty (which she is since she already admitted to committing identity theft and fraud) and deported after her sentence is served?

I know absolutely nothing about the case, so can't speak to identity theft or anything else. If she is here illegally, she should be deported.
