George Bush's Decision Points

This book comes out Tuesday and so naturally we're hearing a lot about it. Love him or hate him, George Bush had a lot of interesting things happen during his presidency, so I think it will be an interesting read. Will anyone else check it out?

Maybe, if I found it second hand. Noted from article:

***Kakutani calls it "the most casual of presidential memoirs" ****
Of course it's "casual." I feel like he did a lot of things "casually" while president, like go to war with Iraq, and watch us head into a recession, while telling us how good we had it, in his presidential addresses. I think Bush decided early on he was going to go paternal on the American people, and only tell them what he thought was good for them to hear. So he wasn't honest. I think what people hate about Obama, is that he tells them what is going on, and if we want to dig ourselves out, we're all going to have to suck it up, and dig. Bush would never do that. He'd stand up there and smile and say "More Americans than ever are on their

(I think what people hate about Obama, is that he tells them what is going on, and if we want to dig ourselves out, we're all going to have to suck it up, and dig.)

You would be wrong, that's not at all what people "hate" about Obama. They "hate" that he spent a trillion dollars and unemployment skyrocketed to 9.6% and is holding steady. They "hate" the fact that foreclosures continue to rise and homeowners are not getting the help they were promised. They "hate" the fact that their health insurance premiums have skyrocketed after passing HC reform. They "hate" the fact that there is no light at the end of this tunnel despite the trillions of dollars spent (borrowed) to pay for his failed policies. They "hate" the way he calls any and all opposed to him "enemies" that need to be defeated. They "hate" the way he calls any and all opposed to his policies as uninformed, or too scared to think reasonably. They want him to listen to them....instead of cram through his agenda at any cost.

It seems that the more Obama and his administration "dig", the bigger the whole gets. Demonizing the rich and big business and threaten them with huge tax hikes is certainly no way to grow the economy and create jobs.

No. Just curious, does he apologize for catering to the rich and just about destroying the middle class? Eight years of lies were more than enough for me. Gee, do you think he'll take a stand against some of the really awful stuff - stomping on someone's head - that his leadership (???) has led to?

From Nevada and tired of Rove/Bush/Boehner/McConnel politics!

Oooh, love to see your complete lack of information. No. 1, the reason Obama's deficit is so high is that he has included Bush's war costs in the budget, something Bush never bothered doing. Bush also destroyed Clinton's balanced budgets within months by big tax breaks for the rich and his little war - he thought that Iraq would be good for his political career. And as he was at it, he unfunded help for veterans and the hospitals declined into filth! Obama restored funding, and oh, by the way, if you bother to find the truth, managed to give a tax break to those of us earning under $250,000 per year. Bankruptcies and foreclosures happened to start skyrocketing under his regime - a lot due to his inability to create jobs in the US as companies were given tax breaks to send their jobs overseas. Jobs created, even in Bush's recession, have done nothing but grow since Obama took office. I'm really tired of uninformed people who worship Fox -you just keep up that Fox rhetoric. Don't bother developing that brain that keeps your ears from slamming into each other!

Wow...nice personal attack! Consider yourself reported.

If you care to debate in a civil manner, change your angry hate-filled tone. Otherwise nobody wants to hear what venom you have to spew.

Oh...BTW....Bush hasn't been president for 2 years now. Obama and the Dems own this economy now.....nice try.
