Having a had a child of 'that age', I've read some of JK Rowling, of course. But other than that, none of my favorite authors are listed. But then, I tend towards sci-fi/fantasy and non-fiction science, so that makes sense! LOL! I wouldn't read Bill O'Reilly if you paid me!

Edited to add:  I don't prefer female authors over male authors, but I have noticed that they tend to write from a different perspective when it comes to fiction.
