Well, yet another reason to detest fox news:

http://www.salon.com/2013/04/15/fox_regular_jokes_about_muslims_kill_them_all/

After the horrific bombings at the Boston Marathon yesterday, he tweeted (and then deleted) : "“Everybody do the National Security Ankle Grab! Let’s bring more Saudis in without screening them! C’mon! #bostonmarathon.”

The columnist, who boasts on his Twitter bio that he “was the first to break the story of Barack Obama’s ties to militant preacher Rev. Jeremiah Wright on a national level,” followed up with a response to someone asking if he was blaming Muslims: “Yes, they’re evil. Kill them all.”

I am not buying his excuse of "it was a joke" one little bit.

Are you honestly surprised?  It is Fox News after all.

You're referring to the network that multiple studies have proven to be "fair and balanced"?  Compared to the ULTRA-partisan hacks at MSNBFull-of-crap.

There are lots of others out there with the same ignorant feelings.  Saw comments like that on other stories.   People just assume that it's someone from the Middle East, but if you look at past bombings in the US, tends to be one of our own.

Actually, people don't tend to think it's someone "from the Middle East" but rather someone with radical Muslim beliefs...and....wait for it...the bombers were Muslims with anti-American radical Islamic beliefs.  Shame on us for guessing right.  Two points for profiling.

If I have all the facts straight from a news report I was just watching on TV, there was a Saudi student with burns that was "acting suspiciously" so he was investigated further.  I believe the police even searched his living quarters.   Of course he was acting suspicously!  If I was Saudi, injured amongst all that was going on, I would sure as heck be worried that it would be assumed that I was a terrorist.   I'm sure that my actions wouldn't seem normal either.

He was "acting so suspiciously" that someone who didn't know him at all felt the need to actually tackle and restrain him...sounds like something pretty extreme.  Maybe I'm missing alll the news stories, but I haven't read about a rash of innocent Muslims being body-tackled on the streets of middle America every day.  I'm waiting for the revelations connecting that "innocent" Saudi student to the bombings.

Very good point.

There is a reason for this kind of anti-muslim sentiment in this country. Anyone who pays attention to anti-American sentiment in Muslim countries understands we are hated. It is frightenting how much we are hated throughout the world. These type statements are not going to go away any time soon and is only going to get worse if this turns out to be a Muslim group that has done this.

Are you singling him out because of his anti-Muslim tweet or because you are anti-Fox News?

I do not like his comments or back-pedaling or anything but I do like Fox News. I am not blaming Fox for the ridiculous statements of a reporter. I am blaming the reporter for his ridiculous statements and will continue to go to Fox, just not his articles. During a time like this, there is no room for 'joking' or nastiness. Very sad.
