I don't know that I would cut, slash a lot of programs.
Stop the wars.
Close corporate tax loopholes.
Increase taxes on $250K+ers.
Repeal all Bush tax cuts once unemployment gets down to 5%.
Across-the-board 5% cut in gov't budgets; everything, no exceptions.

America has some of the highest corporate taxes in the world.
America has some of the highest corporate taxes in the world. If we keep raising the taxes, or "closing loopholes" , even more American jobs will be lost and more corporations will move overseas where it's cheaper for them.
---Actually, closing tax loopholes will lower the tax rate and bring in more revenue. Just having high rate doesn't mean that corporations are paying more taxes. There effective tax rate is usually lower. That arguement is wrong and misleading, and we hear it all the time from politicians. It is truly sickening.
Though, I would say one thing, there should not be any additional tax on profits made by corporation in other countries if they want to bring that money back to US. I don't know why that is done by congress.

How do ATB cuts in gov't budgets increase the size of gov't?
Increasing revenue is not the same as increasing spending.
