(Remember my original point was that California’s financial problems are not due to illegal immigrants being allowed to pay in-state tuition, but it was due to the financial crisis and the recession.)

I beg to differ, however, this article talks about the costs to the state for K-12 education, I suppose now it will cost even more with the taxpayers who will subsidize the in-state college tuition as well:

Very true. However, how is ANYONE okay with using essentially "slave" labor with illegal immigrants? Are we only to tolerate them because they will work for next to nothing and we directly benefit by having cheaper produce?

How is it considered a human rights violation to determine legal status of a person involved in a crime....yet NOT a human rights violation to let these same illegal immigrants to continue to work long hours in extremely harsh conditions for next to nothing....as long as we (Americans) benefit from them?

Very twisted logic and very wrong....IMO.
