Can one imagine the repercussions if something happened to him while in custody?

"...the speed of the arrest is a bit suspicious"? He left his stuff in the room and was caught on a plane trying to get out of the country. To me, that's what is really suspicious.

That is one of the problems with the news the question was was this a scheduled flight?

If it was a scheduled flight, why did he leave all his stuff in his room?

Why was she in an occupied room? She's a maid. She identified herself as "housekeeping," and heard no response. She left the door open. He came out naked, she apologized and tried to leave, and he went after her. It doesn't matter if he was "expecting someone." Are you blaming the maid for being attacked?

Pfft. We have the fact of the charges against him. He can tell his side in a court of law and we will see. I'm certainly not going to question the victim who, according to police, is completely credible. It seemed from your questions regarding the maid that you were attempting to attack the victim by questioning what she was doing there (she's a maid...it's her job) and whether or not he was waiting for someone as if that would make it completely understandable that he attacked a woman because he was waiting for someone...apparently anyone. That's the way I read it.
