It is funny that when confronted with actual conservative stances on the issues, many conservatives try to disown them...I wonder if it's because they know deep down

My guess is that some conservatives disown the message of the conservative think tanks because they need to believe that they are independent thinkers. They want to believe that amidst all the "liberal leaning rhetoric" THEY are able to see the truth. The fact that the think tanks are creating their belief system is unsettling, at best. Easier to deny it than to confront reality.

The point is it's a blog trying to sell something and has about as much credibility as anything you post.
Just out of curiousity, what, other than a conservative ideology, do you allege that the Heritage Foundation is trying to "sell"?
