The Rally was incredible. It was fun, but also made a great point:

“If we amplify everything, we hear nothing. There are terrorists and racists and Stalinists and Theocrats. But those are titles that must be earned. You must have the resume. Not being able to distinguish between real racists and Tea Partiers and real bigots and Juan Williams or Rick Sanchez is an insult not only to those people, but to the racists themselves who have put in the exhausting effort it takes to hate.” -- John Stewart

Was it supposed to be a competition?

"Extremist" candidates say a lot of things.

I remember a certain "extremist" candidate saying how he would close Gitmo in his first year in office.

There were tons of people at the rally and it was actually a bit scary trying to get out.

(While I admit both Olberman and Rachel can get carried away at times, they and their guests present a much more thoughtful and accurate analysis than anyone on FOX.)

Millions and millions of views of Fox would disagree with you.

It's really not surprising to see some sour grapes on this thread.

Well, I'm not alone.

I understand and appreciate Stewart's humor. I think he's a riot.

But....I'll give it to ya....I just don't get Colbert at all.

The purpose of the rally wasn't to sway voters and really not even to get out the vote, but rather to ask politicians and the media to stop fanning the flames of fear IN BOTH DIRECTIONS. So yes, I'd say all the media (except perhaps the Christian Science Monitor) are guilty of it. It sells more ads, draws more viewers, but misinforms regularly.
