Indeed, a former Fox News employee who recently agreed to talk with

The Fox network is mainly made up of opinion talking heads. Fox's actually news, which is such a small segment of the station, is neither better nor worse than most corporate owned media news. It is very sparse as far as any real substance. Murdoch wanted to have his own network to sway public opinion. He certainly does a good job of it. Foxnews.com is very poorly run as far as journalistic standards.

Good points. So why get yourselves all in a lather over little ole' Fox News? Sure, they are the top of the heap. But, as you point out, hardly anyone even watches the entire heap. Why bother, right?

So on the subject of media bias I found this study which creatively tried to define bias. The result was that Jim Lehrer was found to be the least biased, Brit Hume was found to be in the top 5 least biased AND get this, the creative definition which finds Lehrer and Hume unbiased finds the news section of the

Wall Street Journal to be the most liberally slanted media outlet!

I think this is an interesting take on it [I am not familiar with the author so I don't know if he is generally controversial]

It's not what Beck says - it's what people hear.

Sounds to me like they could have had on George Washington, Abe Lincoln, and Martin Luther King, and you would not have heard anything interesting. It's obvious that you already determined that before you watched. But I'm sure you would have been quite riveted if you found Weird Al on MSNBC.

It depends. Would Hannity or O'Reilly have been shouting over the top of Washington, Lincoln, or King?
