Again, what should he have done instead of what he has done with regard to both Iran and Egypt?

He should be absolutely clear that terrorism is unacceptable.

"He should be absolutely clear that terrorism is unacceptable. "

I'm not sure where you've been. He's repeatedly condemned terrorism.

"He should admit there is an extreme element within the Muslim religion that fosters violence and worldwide terrorism (see Russian bombings, London subway bombing, 9-11 and earlier twin tower bombings/Times Square attempt, etc. in the US, Spain bombings, Paris riots, Egypt, etc.) and should actively seek to combat rather cover up this problem."

He's done that, too...for example:
http://www.stlamerican.com/news/local_news/article_ca66bbe8-8565-503a-b789-ad16c3ebe9d2.html

"He should be consistent in the way he addresses human rights -- instead, not a word about ruthless tactics in Iran, state dinners for China's premier, BUT demands that an Egyptian leader who has been a US ally immediately step down."

It's called "diplomacy."

As to the rest, I can see that you don't think Obama has done anything good. I happen to disagree. I think he has handled what is going on in Egypt as well as anyone could have. I've got no problems with how he has handled it.

Unfortunately "diplomacy" is synonymous with "incompetence" under Obama.

ODS precludes having a reasonable discussion.

I am not an expert, but it seems simple. Support our allies and not our enemies. When the people protested against our enemies in Iran, he was not there for them. He remained mum for days.

"Resist, we much. We must, and we much. About that, be committed."

"Support our allies and not our enemies" even when the ally is essentially a dictator and the people have had enough. What kind of "support" do you think we should be giving Mubarak? What do you think about the fact that the pro-Mubarak protesters have turned violent and have also been targeting reporters?

"...just voting 'present'..."
