Long on rhetoric. . .short on specifics

It was absolutely nothing but a campaign speech. He has no details and we all have to wait until next week to find out more details?? That is absolute bologna!

Out with Obama and in with Herman Cain. 9/9/9 is the best plan to come along in a very very very long time. Let's get moving on it.

"I think this is nothing but playing politics."

Of course it is playing politics, that doesn't mean the GOP is wrong. They are doing the right thing for the wrong reason.

How ironic:

Truer words have never been more clear. Listen to the left today. They wil claim government needs more than it's already spending and we should just raise taxes 'a little bit more' on the rich to pay for it. Unfortunately at current spending levels taxes would have to go up 50% to balance the budget and that doesn't count the constriction the economy would take if taxes were raised.

I think those calling for higher taxes should voluntarily make their tax returns public. . .wouldn't it be interesting to see how many deductions they took and for what. . (I believe Bill Clinton took donations for used underwear given to charities); wouldn't it also be interesting to see how they treat those who work for them (what salaries are paid, what benefits are provided, etc.)

I'm one of those proud liberals who supports higher taxes and i won't share my tax return details with you, but I will tell you this:

My husband and I have never owned more than one home at a time, and never paid less than a 20% downpayment.

We paid cash for our first car, purchased two years after we were married.

We've gotten only one car loan in the 34 years we've been married.

We are now back to one car--a Prius.

I'm a recycling/conservation fanatic.

We've both earned graduate degrees, without any subsidized loans.

Your family sounds much like ours except that I wonder if your husband actually employs others or only supervises those

Yes, we do disagree.
