"Especially if you make more than $10 million. Audits of these folks surged 73% last year, hitting more than 18% of taxpayers in the highest income bracket, according to recently released statistics from the IRS."

Now, if they'd only start going after the corporations, too!

I suppose anti-choice/fetus'-have-civil-rights believers would be alright then with charging the baby with murder if the mother dies in childbirth.

Did the baby commit a crime or have a callous disregard for the life of it's mother that caused her death?

The law offers consideration for mental disease, so if she were to actually be diagnosed with "clinical depression" or some other malady, rather than just gross speculation, it will probably mitigate any judgment.

Yes, it killed its mother.

Gee, I think the same way about the conservative mindset. Always going on about "keep the government out of my business," yet don't see the hypocrisy when they try and legislate what other people can and cannot do with their own bodies and their own personal lives.

She didn't commit a crime. That's why the ACLU has filed on her behalf.

Funny how some people are freaked out about Sharia law when that's not happening, but don't seem to have a problem with the religious tyranny they seek to impose on the rest of us.

Note that most of the states mentioned in the article below are red ones, like Indiana where Bei Bei Shuai was charged with murder.

You make an excellent point. Mental health services are being decimated in some states...I know that's a fact in mine.

Don't forget, 'krats, that anti-choice rhetoric is a fact-free mishmash of assumption, speculation, projection, wishful thinking,

So you know that the rationale for all abortions is "selfish whim"? Isn't that just a wee bit sweeping? Out of idle curiosity, why the "innocent" adjective? Innocent of what exactly? Sentience?

Uh....... You do know that Bush the Lesser was responsible for the formation of the Department of Homeland Security. For the creation of the TSA. For the military expansion needed to wage war in both Iraq and Afghanistan. For the expensive Medicare prescription benefit. For TARP.

Pretty funny to attribute "greatly expanded government" to either the Democratic president or the Democratic leaders of Congress.

I am reminded that Karl Rove perfected the strategy of repeating hearsay or outright lie to the point where people came to believe that the statements had some measure of truth.
