Reagan and the Tea Party

The presidential administration of Ronald Reagan revised the tax code and supported increasing taxes on corporations and wealthy Americans. The Tea Party, who purports Reagan to be one of their predecessors, actually supports the opposite: that is, cutting taxes on the wealthy and corporations. In some sense, then, Tea Partiers might be said to be even further to the right of President Reagan.

How do you suppose Tea Party members might reconcile this difference? And what do you think about taxes on corporations and the wealthy?

You can't makeup tax laws that only apply to specific organizations, therefore when the Democrats start chanting "raise taxes" and point to oil companies, they're also pointing to every other corporation, most of which are small businesses...and raising taxes on corporations only limits their ability to grow the economy and create jobs.

Your right tom, I was in error...the top 5% pay almost 60% of the income taxes, the top 10% pays 59.94%,

It's funny that liberals consider abortion to be a "right"...when the reality is that they enjoy that "right" by intentionally taking away someone else's right to life.
