Oh, almost fogot....
Whereas Dick and Liz Chaney think it's great: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/02/dick-liz-cheney-obama-awlaki-apology_n_991062.html
What's your point?
I had fervently hoped that Obama would rein in the TSA, the warrant-less wire taps, and other similar misbegotten "collateral damage" legislation of the "war on terror".
Al Awlaki's demise elicited a mixed response from me. My son is in the National Guard and stationed in the Middle East. Awlaki's message of hate may find another spokesman but at least Awlaki himself is no longer a threat. For that, I rejoice.
But.......this assassination of figures the U.S. considers to be malevolent reminds me too strongly and too unpleasantly of Vietnam where we repeatedly attempted to cut off the head of the Gorgon, without ever achieving goals which permitted us an orderly and strategic withdrawal.
You post an article of barry claiming Bush was over-reacting, but since becoming president has since changed his mind and agrees with Bush.... And you ask what my point is?
The point is socialists have no moral compass.
I agree, wanton assasinations without a trial, mandatory grouping of private citizens i you want to fly ona plane (and it isn't going to stop there, the TSA is getting ready to expand to train and bus service) is entirely BS. I opposed many of the civil liberty violations that Bush supported, but barry's pole vaulted well beyond anything Bush did, so I'm left wondering where the outrage is on the left. If Bush had tried this hundreds of thousands would be marching on Washington.
There is an irony: Several nations with at least some "socialist" characteristics also have some of the highest standards of living in the world. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_Development_Index
One wonders how that could be possible if they have no "moral compass".
A great question! 3 years as president, and the thought has yet to occur to the liberal media to dig into his history. Yet, they swarm over Palin, even as a private citizen. When will they investigate barry???
