I don't want to add to the insanity but something's gotta give here. I'm sick about this shooting in Arizona and while this gunman likely had mental issues and other problems, I wonder how much of the current political garbage isn't fueling people's delusions. I'm not sure what is worse, though, the pitch of the voices before or after this tragedy? Could this tragedy have been avoided? Would tighter gun laws have even stopped someone like this?

Yeah, I'm sure he's shaking in his shoes.

It's amazing to see such blatant hypocrisy from the left after they've spent a decade doing nothing but spewing hate and vitriol at President Bush and Republicans.

The Supreme Court overturned D.C.'s gun ban citing the dramatic INCREASE in gun deaths AFTER the ban was imposed.

Ah yes, the Globe. Notice the other headlines will ya? This is hardly a rag known for journalistic standards.

It's not the Tea party's fault. It's the nut-job's fault. Unfortunately it is way too easy to buy a gun in this country and to get ammo cartridges that reduce the need for reloading.

So, I do support reinstating the ban on the sale of large ammo cartridges. There is no good argument for them.

Except for the fact that this young man did not purchase the gun illegally.

I agree. It'd be a lot harder to kill 6 people in 15 seconds with knives. And tighter gun laws WOULD make it more difficult for a nutcase to get the assault weapons, even if it would still be possible for him to do so.

I don't see how playing the blame game serves any useful purpose.

blaming serves no purpose, but sadly the left tried to blame others for this tragedy to further their hate filed agenda. That's all they can do....bame others and play 'the victim'.
