Laptop or Desktop?

I'm trying to decide which to buy. It seems that everyone has a laptop these days, and they hardly even advertise desktops anymore, but I like my desktop. Do you have a laptop or desktop, or both? What will your next computer be?

I have both. I like the desktop primarily for the large 23 inch screen i have. So when screen real estate is essential, I use the desktop. I also use the desktop as a media server for music , photos and video. That way I can access all that media through my TV and home stereo via my home network.

Laptop obviously gets used for looking up things quickly, wherever you happen to want to sit in the house or even outside on the patio. Also obviously for trips.

I have both, I too have the 23" screen for my desktop and besides it has Windows Vista on it and I really like it. I am not fond of Windows 7 but that is what my laptop has. The laptop is a 17.3" and for the summer while I am at the camper it  is fine...but I never go outside with it because in the day time you can't see the screen very well......if I had been thinking I may have bought an all in one to take to the camper the screen is bigger and since I leave it in one place I should have saved some money.....

That is another thing, a desktop is less money than a laptop and I feel like you can for a little less money get a little more for the money... like more memory or bigger harddrive depends on what you are going to be doing with it.

I like my desktop and it is what I would get again...

Kind of depends on what you want to do with it...
