Instagram says it now has the right to sell your photos. In its first big policy shift since Facebook bought the photo-sharing site, Instagram claims the right to sell users' photos without payment or notification. Oh, and there's no way to opt out.

No, this won't affect my sharing.  Most of these sites have the exact same policy.  Share photos at your own risk, I say.  I think Instagram's policy is making news because of how big they are.  In fact, they were just acquired by Facebook earlier in the year for $1 billion.  As a result, they recently changed how Twitter displayed (or didn't display them, rather) Instagram photos within the last week or so that caused lots of people to get their panties in a bunch.  I wonder if that big to-do has anything to do with this headline.
