For anyone pondering how to save some money, but still enjoy the Thanksgiving festivities this article has several great suggestions. My immediate family hasn't made a big deal out of Thanksgiving in ages so I'm not having to worry about feeding an army. On the upside I am watching the grocery sales to see if there are any smart buys that will offset the costs of Christmas or just enhance my pantry. What are all of you doing to save money on the Thanksgiving feast?
Great article, thanks! I just bought my turkey on Saturday for 49 cents/pound. I pretty much follow all the suggestions on the list. I don't buy anything premade except for cranberry jelly and peas. When we have the dinner at our house, my husband cooks the turkey, and every family member brings a dish. I could do away with the required 'creamed onions' but I won't because they're my favorite, lol.
