J took a week off earlier in the summer before we had a garage sale. We're not planning any trips together, but we're having a weekend stay-cation today and tomorrow :)

I am excited that this week, after my work travel, I can fit in some time with a friend who moved out of state at the end of last year before I head back home to Colorado. It won't be a real vacation, but at least we'll be able to catch up a bit!

Are you taking time off? Any travel plans? If you aren't taking vacation, are you saving up your vacation days for something else?

Hope you're having a good weekend!

We are, or I should say I am.  We had originally planned on moving from Texas to Michigan at the end of August, so I have been saving and saving vacation days to get paid out for them when I left, but the move has been put on hold for now.

We originally were heading up to Michigan for a week's vacation to have my ODD's graduation open house for family and also a 3 day vacation to Mackinac Island.  My youngest brother decided to schedule his wedding for that time also, so we now have a wedding and reception to attend the last day before we head back to Texas.  I don't think its going to be much of a relaxing vacation now, but I'm not at work, so I guess its considered a vacation...

I've been wanting to move to Texas! J is currently planning on relocating there toward the end of August, but he's been struggling with the idea of us being apart, too. We talked yesterday, and my ideal is for us both to move there and for me to find a job that requires less travel--I think we need more together time, and I miss my dogs when I'm gone for work, too.

Anyway, I hope you have fun at all your family events and the wedding! Travel safely and enjoy your time away from the office as much as you can!
