Onsite classroom....

Hello ladies!
I'm looking to either rent/use an onsite classroom for the individuals (as opposed to a business where I would use their facility) or maybe creating a classroom at my home.
What do you think? The classes wouldn't be that frequent, maybe one or two a month. Would you be opposed to coming to a home/residence or would you think a more business area would be better? I would have a traditional classroom setting either way.

Thoughts? All are welcome :)

When CPR is taught where I work, they come to us and they use one of our rooms. If I had to go somewhere I'd be much less likely to go, unless forced. Since I don't work directly with kids I don't have to take the course, but if they're in the building, sure why not? I'll take it.

Thanks for the feedback Audrey. I am wondering about the individuals that request the class, which is usually because they are a parent or have an in home care care and are required to have the class. I have been teaching these classes at another location, such as a conference room or possibly at a classroom in my home. I was thinking of turning a room or maybe the garage into a classroom. What do you think?

You have to consider, do you want your students at your home? If you chose a place like the local rec center and used a room there, then sure, that would be awesome. But do you want people at your home?

Hey Audrey. Thanks for the feedback. I am still trying to debate the pros and cons of it all. So for right now, I'm not going to make any major plans or changes, and still keep using local conference rooms and centers.

I truly would be worried about going into someone's home. Even people you "know" can turn out to be....

There are so many community rooms, that it should be easy enough to find one for a reasonable cost. Around here, even the assisted living homes have them, libraries, town centers, etc.

I think I agree. I decided to continue to teach any on site classes at another location, instead of my home/classroom. Just too scary the more I thought about it :)
