PLEASE HELP ME work from home

Hello All,

I really want to be able to add some income by working from home.

Here's a little about myself. I am in my 20's. I am married and my husband recently lost his job and unemployment is running out. (and we live in Michigan) We have two children, a 2 1/2 and a 1 year old. I currently work for a hospital as a secretary part time (and I HATE my job). And I am attending school part time in a nursing program.

I would really like something to supplement my current income. I am only working two days a week and really do not want to leave my children more than I have to. That was the whole point of working part time.

I would rather not try to be a salesperson. I am really not a people-person due to the stress of my current job.

PLEASE HELP ME.

Welcome to the group. Almost anything you do at home will require you to interact with other people. Melissa, our board host is an RN. She found a way to work at home, well from home, not so much at home. She offers medical equiptment and teaches others. She is always selling her service or products. I'm in direct sales and while I'm at home a lot, I'm talking to people and I'm definately selling. There are customer service companies that hire people to answer phones, however those companies do not allow any background noise which means you can NEVER have your children there while you're answering phones. And you'd be talking to people. I know several woman who are Virtual Assistants', but that too means selling a service to others.

Hello and welcome! I'm glad that you are here with us.
My name is Melissa and I am an RN. I teach/tutor online and offer classes in person such as CPR, first aid, asthma/allergies with certification. I also work part time for a health web site as well.
I agree with Audrey that for my teaching/tutoring and classes I am always selling. I hand out business cards, send out flyers, and I share what I do with others through phone calls, in person, and emails.
And Audrey is correct--there are companies that hire to work from home but they do not allow any background noise.
So what is it about sales that you think you wouldn't like?
