Just to let you know, that with time you will overcome the feelings you are currently having. You are alive and well. Be thankful for that. I am a prior rape and stalking victim. I have been held hostage and raped by not only a stranger, at 19, but my ex husband later in life. Try to stay away from controlling men. Learn to identify people around you and pick up on warning signals. Take protection classes and make yourself stronger. I don't even think about it any more unless I read a post similar to this one. There is a good book to read that was writtne by a former head of FBI profiling John Douglas and Olsaker. Jonathon wrote it for his daughter who was heading to college and he was concerned she would not be able to recognize signs in people around her and become a victim. The book is called "Obsession" and more or less tells you what criminals prey on. Hope this helps and sending a hug your way. Fix a hot cup of tea and relax and enjoy your present and don't let bad memories ruin new good moments. Time travels too fast and you need to let go and learn to enjoy your surroundings. Just do it wisely and educate yourself a little better and that is where you will find reassurance and the support you need.
