how about reporting it to child protective services..and leaving it to them to investigate? does your stbx have supervised visitation? also i have heard judges believe therapist and child custody evaluators..any chance of going that route. What kind of custody arrangement do you have?

Hi Winter,

CPS is investigating, but they prioritize the cases here by severity, my daughter has a bruise not a broken bone so her case is prioritize low unfortunately. Court today was for temporary orders.

There's got to be a way to resolve this matter within the family. Communication solves so many problems.

In the future do not let DCF know anything about your kid. They have been known in many instances to have the kid placed with the other parent in cases like this. Even in cases where the child was molested by the other parent!

DCF does not like to deal repeatedly with squabbling between parents. They also have been know to place the child temporarily in foster care unti mediation is done in extreme cases!

DCF is a joke. They don't take your case seriously only based on the fact you're the ex wife. Now if it were a teacher or nurse that reported this, DCF would have the case at the top of the list.

So here is the scenario..i guess.

Kid goes to visit Dad..comes back with a bruise. What is the explaination for that bruise from Dad? Did the child fall and hurt herself? What is the child saying? How long are the visits

CPS is now involved. They will be interviewing my children at day care and will be visiting my home on Friday.

Don't get suckered into any of their "service plans." They might try to tell you that your daughter needs counseling or some other bs. Don't sign anything! Don't fall for it!

This is all like being on trial without an attorney present! Even though you did not do anything wrong, anything you say or do can be used against you.

They will want to walk through your home, take pictures of your child, and take pictures of every room. They will try to find something to pin on you.

They want to go to your child's day care so you won't be present at the interview. DCF interviewed one of my kids at the school. My daughter said "I don't want to talk." DCF investigator told her "you have to talk." This was BEFORE she turned on the tape recorder!! She was denied her amendment rights.

Be very very careful.
