How bad is it that I want to reschedule two cse meetings due to them falling on a trigger date? Not sure why its bugging me so much but I tried to skip January all together on paperwork. I was trying to put February!! Now as the date gets closer I'm a mess over it and haven't been before and its been five years. Ds is due to a melt down this month over this but he's still doing really well!! Ahh

Queen, I wonder if this is a case of "chicken or egg".

I have thought about going back into counseling for a little bit to see if it helps but then I would have to find time for it and the last time at times I felt meds were pushed to much. I am

Have you looked into some EMDR for the PTSD?..and could your trigger issues also be some PTSD?...I am now learning about low frequency neurofeedback and actually discovered it can treat asthma...I have had two treatments so far with the direct intention of seeing if it will do something for my asthma...here is what I can report...During the treatment I feel the "elephant" lift off of my chest..Even twenty minutes of no elephant is nice...Then my "coughing fits" every time I move from one place to another (like walk from the house to the car) are not as severe...Now was that the two treatments I have had or placebo, or coincidence..Not sure...Still experimenting for now, but if I can say for sure it did something to help with my asthma I will definitely relay that information on....

That might be nice for the asthma but I am not sure if I am comfortable with the idea. I would rather it just go away or me be able to deal with it and get past it but the dates sometimes sneak up on me

Have you ever heard of Byron Katie... Look her up online .. she has some interesting theories .. Her basic theory is just living in the exact moment we are in. This could alleviate your mind racing all the time. I do that same thing where I let my mind wander to the future and then I get anxiety but if I live in the moment I am in and dont focus too much on past or present those horrible thoughts go away fast..wondering if it could work with trigger dates as they are from the past...

Not saying it is a cure but look into it... as the EFT is also a good practice .. I have tried that and it works also. Its just tapping energy points on your body and its free .. There are a few videos of it on Utube..

I know I may have no choice but to try something but I still would rather learn how to deal with things without help. To me it seems like that would help in the long run because if I know how to deal with it when it happens then I can deal with it rather then wait till I can get home to do the eft or where ever I have to go to get it or wait to get in to talk to a counselor but I am going to do some research on t he eft and see what I think but I want to permanently deal with it all so it just goes away. I am so sick of things popping up out of the blue after years. GRR!! I have had good luck with replacing bad memories with good ones but then a new one pops up that probably would have anyway but it feels like a never ending battle and it makes me hope he is going though the same type of torment once in awhile!! GRRR!! Oh and then there are side effects to consider maybe the eft has none but meds do and the last med made me so sick it wasn't funny. Maybe I will just have to learn that it is going to happen and learn to accept once in awhile I am going to be a mess over some stupid trigger and know that it does go away. I am feeling better over this up coming one so maybe I am part it even if the date hasn't happened yet.

I know what you are saying and you just want to wake up from a bad nighmare but actually the EFT is so easy.. you can do it anywhere anytime.. Its just tapping with your fingers on top of your head a few seconds then your cheek and then

Dr. Mercola also has his website and some things on there about it..
