You were right to stay out of it. You have enough of your own trouble going on right now that you don't need to get involved in your mother's arguments. She's a grown woman and can take care of herself. She should understand that you have your own worries to take care of right now.

About the chest hurting...go to the emergency room. They take you insurance or not and you can pay it off a little at a time. That could just be anxiety or it could be something really serious. That really worries me. Don't neglect your health because of money. Please take good care of yourself. With all the stess you are under, you can't afford to let your health slide.
