What is the most hideous piece of clothing you have ever owned (bad 70's fashions count!)?

-Pretty much anything my mother put me in!

What is the most hideous piece of clothing you have ever owned (bad 70's fashions count!)?
Oooh, I had a lovely (NOT!) pair of turquoise stirrup pants. I never know what was worse, the color or stirrups.

What is your favorite thing in your closet?
I have a cute strappy chocolate-brown dress with a scrunchy fabric around the breast area and a peasant-style skirt that stops just above the knee. I feel so carefree and confident when I wear it.

What is the one piece of clothing that belongs to your SO/H/X/STBX/BF that you most want to trash, burn, or otherwise dispose of? (bonus question - and how would you do it?)
I don't remember anything noteworthy about what my XBF used to wear, but I would gladly drive that precious friggin' pickup truck of his into a swift and muddy river. The man was obsessed with it, and it was just a rinky-dink thing. If I expressed an interest in anything that wasn't his truck or hunting, he'd say "whatever floats your boat" and then try to get me to put out. Yeah, well, I sailed. Float that.

What is your pet peeve in regards to clothes?
Clothing that LIES on it's label about being able to go into the dryer, then they come out two inches smaller even though you tumble dried on low. As my brother is fond of saying, "why must they turn this into a house of lies"? LOL

If you had an unlimited clothing budget, what would you purchase?
SHOES! I NEED SHOES! I have ONE pair of sandals. Count them: one. And technically, they belong to my mother. I have few enough shoes that I don't need a shoe organizer of any kind in my closet. And it's not a big closet. That's just sad.

What is the most hideous piece of clothing you have ever owned (bad 70's fashions count!)?
A pair of orange and blue wide striped shorts that AHL's grandmother gave me for Christmas. The price tag of $1.99 was still on them.

What is your favorite thing in your closet?
Can I mention a couple of things? I have this pleated skirt I just bought which I absolutely love the way it fits. I also have this black leather jacket which is oh so cool with sunglasses.

What is the one piece of clothing that belongs to your SO/H/X/STBX/BF that you most want to trash, burn, or otherwise dispose of? (bonus question - and how would you do it?)
The expensive suits he bought for himself at 400 to 700 a pop. The ties (only silk hugo boss type for AHL)at 100 a pop. All while I was wearing 14.00 shirts and 30.00 pants from the local discount store. AHL said he was far more important than me and had to look it. I would take those suits and cut holes in the seams, wad them up in a mess on the floor, take dirty shoes and stomp all over them, then give them back.....(in a small guilty voice) oh wait...I did that already.....

What is your pet peeve in regards to clothes?
Everything is too long...the legs and the arms. The waists are too big. The chest area is ALWAYS too big.......its the way shirts and dresses fall forward because nothing is there to fill them that makes buying clothes so disappointing. Don't even mention buying a bikini. And I shouldn't have to go to the girls section to buy the top.

If you had an unlimited clothing budget, what would you purchase?
I don't know much of anything about designers or brands, but I do have a strange fetish with fine fabric. When I get my hands on some, I just want to touch it and gaze upon it. I want to have clothes made out of the finest fabrics that feel like luxury next to my skin. To my credit, I can identify the good stuff with absolutely no experience. I know this because I home in on it, check the price tag, see 600 or more, sadly touch it a bit longer, then walk away. Since all the clothes and fabrics I fall in love with are so expensive, I guess it means I have excellent taste. But having to walk away means I am also too poor to afford it. Oh well.

ROFL! My DH and I had a conversation about this post. He asked me what clothing item of his I would burn if I was really trying to hurt him. I immediately said his Sluggy Freelance t-shirt (it's his favorite piece of clothing EVER - the embodiment of his undergraduate years), and he went "Ooooh, that's evil!!". And I asked him what of mine he would burn, and he thought for a long while and went in for the kill: my grandmother's wool peacoat that she, my mother, and I have all worn to college. My jaw dropped and I said "Now THAT'S evil!!" and we laughed as I pushed him out of bed. So we agreed that I wouldn't touch his Sluggy shirt if he stayed away from my peacoat, LOL.
Just wanted to say thanks for some interesting bedtime conversation!

Ooh, fun questions!

What is the most hideous piece of clothing you have ever owned (bad 70's fashions count!)?

Oh, gee. Definitely the brown plaid double-knit shorts. I was only about 5, so I do not claim any responsibility.

What is your favorite thing in your closet?

Tough one. My bathrobe. The blue denim Levi's shirt that I wore as a jacket most of the fall. The plain black skirt that goes with almost anything.

What is the one piece of clothing that belongs to your SO/H/X/STBX/BF that you most want to trash, burn, or otherwise dispose of? (bonus question - and how would you do it?) His ugly threadbare message T-shirts that he was too cheap to replace. Any ties that were over ten years old. The dress shirts he wore unbuttoned so the top of his undershirt showed. Paper shredder & compost pile.

What is your pet peeve in regards to clothes?

Whatever fits on one dimension does not fit on the next.

If you had an unlimited clothing budget, what would you purchase?

Comfortable heels. Skirts and shoes that don't require stupid hose. Cute cargoes and tank tops.

Hope everyone's had a good weekend!
