Frustrated-He's Contesting his Sentence

I thought this was over, but it continues. Two months ago I was told he pleaded guilty and the Judge handed down his sentence of 2 yrs probation and 1 yr dv counseling. I was to be contacted within 45 days by the counselor to discuss the incident. I was never contacted so I knew something was wrong. I called the advocate, who asked his probation officer. His atty felt there was "confusion" so they are asking for a hearing. At this point, he does not have to enter counseling. I was confused myself because it's pretty straight forward. He pleaded guilty, the papers were filled out, both him and his atty signed the papers that show how much he owes and what he needs to complete, including 1 yr dv counseling. How is that confusing? His atty claims the prosecutor agreed to an "evaluation" and if the counselor feels he is ok, there wouldn't be any counseling. Even the advocate said that in dv cases, it's always counseling, there isn't an evaluation since we know dv occurred. She said the hearing hasn't even be set yet. Why is that? This is just dragging on and I'm angry and frustrated. I have called the advocate and left 2 messages last wk and she has yet to call me back.

It sounds like more attempts at jerking you around. Hang in there, and keep trying to get ahold of the advocate. She will be able to help you figure out what's going on.

I called and left a message Thur, Fri AND Monday and no response. I have yet to actually talk to the advocate. She left a message on my cell phone on Wed last week and said, "if you have any questions, call me". Yeah, sure I will! I am frustrated. Isn't the advocate supposed to help ME? The last time I talked to her was 2 mo ago when the case, I thought, was over, telling me he pleaded guilty and what his sentence was. If his atty is contesting the sentence claiming he didn't get what was agreed to, shouldn't I have been sent a copy of these documents or does it have nothing to do with me?
