Wish me luck, I have to have surgery tomorrow to get part of my cervix cut out because of "abnormal" cells. It's outpatient, but I can't drive myself home so Mr. Wonderful is supposed to go with me. He has been putting on the sugar coating big time lately. I know this is just the calm period, but I'll take advantage of it while I can. I hope he stays calm for a while longer so I can get through this, it would be nice if I could deal with one crisis at a time.

good luck! i bet all will go well - let yourself be babied and taken care of :)

it sounds kind of ironic that you're getting rid of "abnormal cells" - only one big, abnormal one to go!

hehe

Yep, one big one to go. Surprise, surprise, I found out today that stress is a big factor in abnormal cells reproducing since it weakens your immune system.....imagine that. Just one more reason to get rid of him (as if I needed another reason). On a side note his first reaction to this, since it was caused by HPV (a sexually transmitted disease that approximatelly 80% of Americans have) was that I must be running around on him since it is just now showing up and he's sure he doesn't have it. Sheesh, give me a break. He talked to HIS doctor about it and his doc said that it's very common and I probabaly had it since I was a teenager, he is alright. Wouldn't believe me of course. He's all lovey dovey right now, which kinda makes me sick.....is that normal? It beats the alternative thouh ;)

Morganstlsmom,

I agree!! Heehee....one more big one to get rid of!! Good luck to you sweetie!! I will be thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way. I know it's scary!! I had a big C scare last year. Hang in there!! It will be over soon and hold on to ONLY positive thoughts!! :) Don't let "the big one" get to you!! Don't listen to him.

Let us know how you are doing after surgery.
