I would be very p'd off too. I don't know what normal practice is, but my attorney meets with me once or twice before EACH court date, in addition to once for each order she receives submitted by the court, and talks to me over the phone at least 2 or three times a month. At times I have been in contact with her every day when a crisis arrises. I like the feeling that my case is being taken personally and not just a bunch of money. I am also pushing 10k in bills by now, but feel I get my money's worth. Perhaps the big guys who go to the big courts are a bit too over loaded to give much attention to what they deam "small" cases, though to us they are the most important. Perhaps you need a talk with your lawyer about what services your money is paying for.

Man! It seems like your atty is exactly what *I* am looking for! & youre right, i would haev NO gripe about the bills, IF i felt it was worth it & i WAS getting my moneis worth!

I spoke to my moms cousin, the atty from DC. He said exactly what you I should write him an UNemotional letter stating my concerns & confusion as to why i havent been contacted about the court date changes, & how being a single working mother, not knowing ahead of time is very difficult, etc, etc ... &
