My husband choked me...

...last night during a fight. He grabbed me by my neck and slammed me against the wall a couple of times. I couldn't breathe and the next thing I remember was waking up on the floor with my tongue bleeding. I must've bit it when I passed out. It was weird; surreal. I was off somewhere, like a dream, and then all of sudden I was back in my body trying to figure out what was going on.

My husband was out until 1:15a and when he came home, I told him I was having a tough time trusting him due to the recent emotional affair he had (well, they went out on dates but I don't think ever slept together). He told me it was over, justified by the recent letter he sent the other woman, and I was just bringing up the past. One thing led to another and all of sudden we were fighting. Nothing like this has ever happened between us.

I'm scared and sad. Sorry, I don't know who else to talk to about this.

Hi honey, welcome -

Unfortunately your post is better of here than B.S., because what he did last night (and apparently before, judging by your description of the affair) is abuse.

Another thing is even if the choking does not kill you right when it is happening, your body's normal response to injury is swelling and later on your airway could swell up hours later and kill you.
