Your sister is not weak. She is being abused. If you wouldn't say it to her face, it' not a terribly kind thing to say elsewhere.

Learn about the dynamics of domestic abuse. Be supportive & non judgemental to your sister and her children.

I have two sisters and neither one of them have a clue what DV is. One is single and very strong and the other is living it. I wish I had a sister like you to be proud of. Wonderful advice always comes from here and I just wanted to add that I think your sister is lucky to have you and no one wants to be in her shoes. Take care,

That is really gross. I really can't understand why people let their houses get nasty like that. I would just limit my contact to what is absolutely necessary and try to encourage them without husband to visit at my house where it isn't diry and cluttered.

There are other issues involved too, I just meant I think the condition of the house is a symptom of deeper problems.
