I started seeing a rape counselor a couple of months ago and during the intake questionnaire my responses indicated domestic abuse as well.

ABUSE! Not normal, no one has the right to treat anyone like this. You have found your way here and we can and will help. Take care of yourself and keep posting,

This is abuse - not domestic abuse because it's not a romantic relationship, but abuse all the same.

FYI: This IS domestic violence. In my state, and most other states, this would still be domestic violence as it is defined by most laws, would include any marriage or former marriage, dating relationship or former dating relationship, family relationship, or those living in the same household.

This is absolutely abuse. She's making it so hard to get to people that I would skip right to calling the police and letting them know what is going on. With your disabilities, you most likely fall into some category of protected individual, meaning that the police are mandated reporters. This means that they will report her to the right agencies and help come get you out.

Think about it- if you do wind up in a hospital, which I don't believe you will, how is that worse than what's going on now? The hospital is at least required by law not to pour water on you and slap you, and to give you the meds you need. There's really nowhere to go but up, is what I'm saying.

I think almost anyone would start to think they were mentally ill if they were treated as you have described!
