I pretty much have realized over the course of today that there really IS no way around doing the RO. I have to protect myself & protect Averey 1st & foremost. As a good freind said, "If anything happens to you, she is left with HIM for life". Well, thats enough to kick my wandering mind into gear!
Also, i spoke w/ the D.V. shelter today - the RO is a little easier to do than i was told - yes, i go to court that morning ... but they do NOT start serving them until the sherrif gets out of court that afternoon, after 4:30pm & the next morning. She said i pretty safely have 24-48 hours to get out of town, b4 he is served. That gives me more than enough time to leave w/o any inkling of anything out of the ordinary b/c i often go to visit my family for a few days. The only differnce will be i will take both dogs this time ... not a big deal. he still wont have a clue. & i have contacted the mental health center & he can have supervised court ordered visits during that time - if the atty & judge agree.
Thanks! R~
