I have been married for 16 years and have a 6 year old daughter. My husband does not work and hasn't in 2 years. In the past 6 months I have ask him to leave our home but he wont'. I don't think he would get physical but he uses emotions againts me. We live in a co-op townhome in Michigan. I dont' want to leave my home because he wouldnt' even have the money to pay for it. My daughter will be going into the first grade this year. What can I do to get him out of my home other than having friends come over confront him and make him leave? Any suggestions?

I don't know if this is legal in your state, but if it were me, I'd wait until he left the house, change the locks as quickly as I could, then put his stuff out on the doorstep. You have to take into account whether or not he'd react violently, and research whether or not you can legally do this and how, but that's my knee-jerk reaction.
