Brown_eyed_susan was born Aug 16th! What a bitter/sweet day every year as the world commemorates the passing of the 'King of Rock and Roll". Oh, Elvis. What a tragedy (and on my sixteenth Birthday, no less. Sigh.) Well, that just made me feel way too old.

So, the 'mid life crisis' part of me would like the following birthday cake:

It's very large and gets wheeled into the room. The song plays (you know the one) and suddenly the top flys open! Confetti, ballons & streamers everywhere! What do you think pops out? Yes, a very fine lookin' fella to vacuum up all that confetti. He also scrubs bathrooms, does laundry and cooks - all while whistling a happy tune. But wait! What's this? Out of the cake pops another equally fine fella! He has a chisled, tanned frame and a wonderful twinkle in his kind eyes. Guess what? He does lawn, garden & pool maintenance, snow removal, home repair and remodelling, (picture with no shirt and one of those leather tool belts) Just when I think this could not get any better, out of the cake (I told you it was very large) pops a the very, very fine fella. Tall dark and handsome with a dazzeling smile and little boy dimples, wearing a tux, carrying flowers and an invitation to dance the night away......(or something along those lines..)

As long as I'm here in fantasy land.....I'm presented this cake at my Birthday party which is attended by all of you and 100 of my closest friends and relatives. For some odd reason, the paperwork gets mixed up with the court documents and stbx ends up paying the bill! Happy Birthday to me!!!!

If they don't have one of those, I'll take a creme brulee instead of a cake, please.

Keep looking up^, Susan.

Dec 29th is my Grandfather's birthday too. Still running (OK, using his walker but, very quickly) from all the women at the home until passed away, very peacefully last Novemeber. Had he survived to his last birthday he would have turned 99 years old!

Much health and longevity to you too illinigirl. Keep looking up^, Susan.

Screen name is Makesmehappy2004, which any kind of chocolate cake with buttercream icing or whippy icing or cheesecake with any fruit with a big fat freedom flag or freedom ribbon flying on top would be my perfect cake, to be eaten hopefully before 12/10. There's yellow ribbons for prisoners, pink ribbons for breast cancer, patriotic ribbons for the good ole USA......is there any color for freedom ribbons?

Happy Birthday to all.
