I finally got an attorney to just give me a second opinion on things. She said that this case is too convulooted(sp?) to transfer to another attorney and that she thinks it's more the ex and his attorney holding things up than mine being a but. She said that I should talk to the GAL and just keep in touch that I don't have to go thru my attorney to do that. Also, my attorney is a dog(in a good way) according to her in court at trial so I should get my money when I can finally push it to trial. Also, my ex missed the due date to file his marital property statement so that should help me also. I am calling to get a conference call scheduled with the GAL this week.

So I tracked down and spoke with the ex's previous girlfriend from before me. She denies he hit her, but I am hoping she will admit what happened and just give a statement to the lawyer. I have my mom's first cousin who can testify to verify her story on the abuse. It felt good to tell her that he had not changed and did the same thing to me as he did to her and that it was not her fault and she didn't do anything to deserve to have her face put thru a china cabinet.

I also went to visit my stepdaughter who was in from TX last week. She has been clean and sober for 6 weeks and I think may be on a good road this time. She looks like herself and is taking her antidepressents again to even herself out mood wise. While visiting I had a chance to talk to her mom, who told me that my ex isn't being the good boy his lawyer says. He apparently bumped and shoved the mom's friend when he went to court last summer to have his child support halted on child 1 while he is on disability. She is willing to testify to that and how "wonderful" a father he has been to my stepdaughter. She may hate me, but she hates my ex more than I do. And it will set him in six fits to see her come testify for me.

And Friday night when I picked up my son from visitation the security guard said that the ex stated my son ran into the couch and got an abrasion on his nose. He also bleed from inside his nose and it looked flattened. So I took the log with his statement in it and the baby to the ER. I got documentation from them that the injuries were not consistent with the father's statement and that the child seemed to be scared and not behaving normally upon return from the ex. I am faxing that to my attorney as well.

So things should hopefully be looking up. And I started South Beach today( I really miss my cute clothes).
