Hello,

I've been here before and soon I will start griping and things will change.

Hugs....next time you do manage to get away, you should leave keys to the house in various places around the house so when he calls because he cannot get in you can direct him to one of the many keys you left for him to find...that will keep you from feeling like you need to go let him in which will help keep you away from feeling you need to take care of him...look into the hospice in your area and see if they can take him in...they specialize in cancer patients and the mood swings the meds cause...also they can help keep him comfortable and can get him safely to and from his appointments without you needing to do it for him...just an idea.

If the keys are inside and he is locked out, how will he get to them?

If he's capable to call you & tell you he's locked out of the house, then I think he is fully capable to call a locksmith.

I've thought about a hospice but he refuses to go. He says I'm trying to get rid of him and I am. It is sad for him to die and I can't wait until he does. I hope that I never cause someone to wish me dead. But nothing at all will help him change. This morning he was constantly picking a fight with me. He gives me time limits for example I have 10 min. to take a shower, brush my teeth, etc then get my clothes for work everything has to be done in 10 minutes. Everything has to be perfect and I better not forget anything or I do without it. This morning when I was cooking his breakfast the burger patties were frozen together and I couldn't pry them apart. So he complained about how much time it took for me to cook them.
I thought about leaving the keys at home but if he is locked out of the house, then he can't get in and since he can't walk down the stairs unless someone is there for him to focus on then he is a prisioner. God help him if there is a fire and he can't get out of the house.

There are so many red flags in your post.

I agree fervently with Wishful--of course he doesn't want to go to hospice: he won't be in control there.

Oh, wait--two things more.
