It's been a while

Hi all,

It's been a while since I've been able to post or read my boards.   Hope everyone is well.

A lot has happened to us in the past few months so I'll give an update.   I'm still working at JCP. It's very physical job and emotionally taxing at times, but I'm grateful to God to have the job.

We promised our son we would give him a grand total of $20,000 for college.   We just set aside the last of that dollar amount with yesterday's paycheck.  WOOT!.   Connor is going into his junior year of college later this month.

Connor got engaged last weekend.    They set a date.  March 15th, 2014.   So now I have to save to go to TN for the wedding, a rehersal dinner, buy a suit for dh and of course $ for a wedding gift.  We want to give them $500.  To drive to Tn we also have to have the 100, 000 mile maintance done to my car before doing so... that's another $500.   All told I'll need to save up $2,500.   My goal is to do so before December.  So far I have $500 set aside.

I am joining a bowling league with some coworkers.  They meet on Weds nights. Candle pin.   Dh has his men's bible study on Weds nights so that works well for me.

Dh and I, along with 9 other couples, just went through marriage mentor training.  Looking forward to God using us at our church in this way.  We still need to take the courses that we'll be teaching.  Those start up in September.

Oh and I got one of my drawings into a juried regional show at the Fitchburge Art Museum.  Never had my stuff hanging in a museum before.  It's kind of cool.

More later.

Hi Stacy! So glad to hear from you!  Lots going on! Congrats on setting aside the exact amount you promised your ds for college and for saving for the wedding already!  Congrats to your son and his bride to be!  Bowling league sounds like a blast and can't wait to hear how God uses you & the other couples to strengthen marriages!  How exciting to have your work in a museum!!!!  So happy for you!!!!
