Chris has been putting out feelers for a new job given the situation where he is currently. He's not one to hop around, but it seems like this changing jobs thing is a new hobby. I'm tired of this. I just want him to be happy with his position. I agree that he needs to leave where he is. He is on this neverending saga of them threatening to cut pay because his salary is too high for the area. It's frustrating. Ok, back to the point. He applied on line for a district mgr position. Immediately, there was a question thing to fill out. The recruiter called right away after receiving it. Turns out that it is a recruiter who prescreens for this company. He was thrilled and told Chris he was being radically underpaid. He said to up his expectations. Then he forwarded the resume and such to the company. They called first thing today. All of this transpired in less than 48 hrs. After a long talk, they told Chris they are really interested in him. They said to talk it over with me and then go from there. Now for the sticky subjects....possible relocation. This is nice for some, however, we just moved for the 4th time in less than 3 yrs. They say they will only move us where we are interested in. We get like 30 possible options, so they say. They will pay for packers and movers if need be. The thing is, we really love living south...here to be exact. I would love the security of knowing we are going to be still for a while. Next sticky, there is no bonus program. We like those. Chris hits them huge everytime. To compensate for this, they pay much more salary. He would start at least 10-15,000 more a year. Nice for us...for sure. I don't have to work at all on that.
I guess the thought of change again is tough for me. I hate the waiting for insurance bit. I don't like the uncertainty of a new company. Can yall pray for very clear answers? This company has a location literally right next to where he works now. If he could stay there, it would make this so much easier.
