Ok, as you all know, the girls perpetrator is sitting in jail in Ga on an $80,000 cash bond. Needless to say, he probably will be there til trial, which could take years. However, here in Fl, another warrant was issued. It is a nationwide warrent, so if he happens to get out, he will be picked up anywhere in the country. Also, in Fl, they don't play. His bond hearing has already happened and it is NO BOND period. He will sit in jail in Jax til his trial here. This warrent has him on 2 counts of the equivelant of sagitory r*** and 2 counts molestation. Those charges here bring a life sentence most all of the time. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Anyway, I guess he will be in jail for quite a long time. I still just hope someone meets up with him in jail and can show him that he can have a God filled life, even there. I have to say it sucks to put someone that you actually considered a friend in jail.

I hear ya........but on the other hand, it sucks to think someone you thought was a friend was taking advantage of

"I know my plans for you"declares the Lord. "Plans to prosper you,  and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future" Jeremiah 29:11

I think I would feel the same way. Protecting your children is #1 but knowing someone will be put away for life would be difficult for me to comprehend but you know, it may be God's way of getting this person out of normal society so that a repeat of what happened to your precious girls will not happen again. I was struck by your thoughts because I believe only someone with the love of Christ would even care what happens to the person who hurt their kids. I do not know that I could have that kind of compassion.
