To swim or not to swim?

That would be the question. The boys and DH have all been sick for some time now and are finally at long last feeling better. They've been back up and playing for 3 days now. My best friend has called and asked if we would like to go the river with them on Saturday for a day of swimmng and grilling. I told her I'd think about it and let her know for sure tomorrow. It's in the hi 90's here and has been all week so it would feel wonderful. The problem is that I am uneasy about lettng the boys in the water so soon after having bronchitis. Am I being overly protective because I've been sleep deprived for 2 weeks? There is no doubt that the boys would love it. I just wanna be sure that i am making the right decision. What would you laides do?

Being in the water will really and truly not bother them at all. It might even be good to stay cool and get some energy out. I know they have been somewhat cooped up lately. I would go and enjoy yourself. With 90 weather they are not going to catch a chill.

Thanks Jenny. I was thinking the same thing.

Last night when I got home from work, I noticed Jesse covered in whelts. He was having an allergic reaction to the Omnicef. I gave him Benadryl then spent most of the evening talking to the pharmacy and doctor's office. He looked alot better this morning but I didn't sleep well. I stayed awake a long time to monitor his breathing because he was complaining that his throat felt funny. I'm a walking zombie this morning.

That is scary. I hope he is feeling better this morning and add that one to the "never take again" list.

Hey Karen! I've been missing you around here. Both boys are better now. God has blessed us with rain everyday for about 30 minutes a day for the past week or so which has been wonderful seeing as how we are in a severe drought according to the weatherman. We did take the boys swimming and they had a ball! DH even went. He had a nice time. It was just so wonderful to spend time with my friend and have my family there having a good time too. I'm hoping it is the first of many outings with them.

How are the kids doing? We've had some drama with the christian day camp and pulled the boys out. One of the leaders was teaching the kids to be deceitful. UGH!!!! I'm not going to hop on my soapbox today but maybe sometime when I am able to talk without getting irked I'll tell you about it. We've made other arrangments that actually work out better. YEAH! God provides!
